Length of Anger

I remember sitting down listening to a speaker a few years ago, and out of all that he spoke about, there was one thing I remember. He said, “The only person that can make you angry is yourself.”

As I sat there I thought that this man was crazy and yada, yada, yada. Fast forward years later and I am believing that he was right. We become angry because we choose to.

There are things to get angry about, and then, things not to get angry about. I guess what things will depend on the person.

And what also depend on us is how long we will stay mad. It seems that the longer we are angry at someone, the easier it is to stay that way.

Old With A Smile. For the next 31 days in March, greet an old person with a smile. Stop and chat with them if you want. Pass by and say hello. A few seconds can mean so much to some of them. :)

My apologies if I am not on as much, I am super busy.

Mind Repeat

There is a line in the song, What If by Creed that goes, ” ‘Cause what consumes your thoughts controls your life.”

Someone said something to me last week concerning someone close to me and it played over and over in my mind. The more I thought and dwelt upon what was said, the more frustrated I became.

Then it hit me, not literally of course, 🙂 get it off repeat and fill my mind with something positive.

Negative thoughts going through our minds all the time is not a good thing. I have control of what I want on my mind and if it is going to stay there. Do you? 🙂

Not caste

How do you know if you are important, that you matter?

Read an article in January of this year, and what was in it stuck with me. In India, Nitish Kumar, a lower-caste chief minister first elected in 2005 got more seats during the last election. So what you may be saying.

That word caste is what I am aiming at. For the first time, those in the upper echelon did not get most of the votes.

Why is there such a system where a person’s worth is define by family name, money, prestige, power and so on is ridiculous.

No matter who we are or where we come from, we are all important. 🙂

Time away

When you take time away from a particular person, place, or situation, sometimes you realize how much you miss them.

I’ve got two projects going on, I’m very, very tired, and WordPress had been acting up. They were hacked. Still don’t know if the problem is resolved. I notice something since last week that it was slow, had to retype in comments, couldn’t access blogs, and couldn’t post when I came on earlier this week. Oh the joys of the internet. 🙂

But you guys are well I hope. I appreciate what’s written in my regular readers blogs. Inspiration and motivation come from anywhere, and from you guys, definitely. 🙂

Not getting rid of me that easily. What’s with the, “Aw man.” 😆

Second chances?

A man beats the woman he loves; a woman beats the man she loves.

A man cheats on the woman he loves; a woman cheats on the man she loves.

A man betrays the woman he loves; a woman betrays the man she loves.

But instead of ending the relationship, they continue to stay. Why? Because they are in love with the person that beat, cheated, and betrayed them.

Is this a kind of love that is hard to understand; a love where in spite of what happened, happens, or happening, there is always a second chance in the mix?

Befriending the enemy

Would you befriend your enemy in order to get something that is very important done?

I watched movies based on true stories with caution. Why? Hollywood and movie makers have a way of stretching and adding to the truth. As a movie watcher, if really interested in knowing the facts, then research them. 😉

With that said, I was remembering the movie, The Schindler’s List (no has nothing to do with the above statement). In that, Oscar Schindler, played by Liam Neeson, befriends an SS officer named Amon Goth, played by Ralph Fiennes.

In order to help some Jews escape and live, he had to undermine the word and meaning of friends. To do that, he had to use the person that held the destiny of innocent people in his hands.  I am happy that he did, and in the end, people lived. 🙂

Which brings me to another question, to accomplish something, to get something that you want, will you do it by any means necessary?
