Late for the movies 1940

Man meets woman, in this case, man and woman met again. The Philadelphia Story, starring Katharine Hepburn as Tracy Samantha Lord Haven, and Cary Grant as C.K. Dexter Haven.

We all need second chances, but do we deserve them? Here was a man that was still in love with the woman he had divorced. Playful, yes, but serious when he saw a chance to win back the love of a woman that still had a place in his heart before she got married to someone else. And she, a tough exterior that hid a frightful person inside. Vowing not to love him again and trying to deny that she did, the movie details how a second chance can be comical and serious. Of course, there is much more in the movie than that.

But like some people, what others see on the outside might not be the truth of what might be in the inside. And like some people, living in denial of something can only bring heartache and yes, missed opportunities of second chances.

Love this movie.

Have a lovely, sunflower day. 🙂
