This is my last entry for the year. Who is that clapping and saying finally in the back row? I can hear you you know. 🙂

Like Tiny Tim I will say, “And God bless everyone.”

“Freedom is a package deal – with it comes responsibilities and consequences.” Unknown

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Season Greetings, and to those who do not celebrate, Happy 25th. Adieu 😉

Going their way?

It is not the amount of followers that you have, but the amount of people that actually follow.

“Either we conform our desires to the truth or we conform the truth to our desires.” Os Guinness 🙂

What are you hearing?

“The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.” Proverbs 14 vs 15

What is written above was going to be the only thing that I was going to write, but . . .

You see, I watch and listen to the news, and I have come to the conclusion that what is wrong with the world is the people, well some of them, that take it upon themselves to be  cruel. If you believe in the power of prayer, pray not only for what happened today in Connecticut but for all the things that are a continual blight upon the happiness of others.

Yes I believe in God, and yes I am a positive person, but sometimes . . .  😦

“Either we conform our desires to the truth or we conform the truth to our desires.” Os Guinness 🙂

Eureka, I think

How can you tell when you have found what you were looking for? When and if you did, was it all that you expected, or was it anti-climatic?

Is This All

Translation by silverlining

Day by day
The same scenes are reenacted
Running but without a destination

Giving it all
Putting it together
I look forward to some changes in life

They are fools,
With such cold faces,
Speaking a language of ignorance

I give it my all,
And race ahead,
To realize my tomorrows

I pray that I’ll be able to meet,
The professed perfect world

IS THIS ALL I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR?
IS THIS ALL I’VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR?
What am I looking for,
It all turned out to just be air
SO IS THIS ALL I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR?
WAITING FOR, WAITING FOR…

Half-opened eyes,
Half-awaken sleep,
Thoughts that are meddled with dreams

I wish to see,
Yet I cannot see
Am I at my limit?

I pray that I’ll be able to see,
The professed perfect world

IS THIS ALL I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR?
IS THIS ALL I’VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR?
What am I looking for,
It all turned out to just be air
SO IS THIS ALL I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR?

Me, never!

Man A : “If anything should happen, I’ll never turn away. I have your back.”

Man B: “No, you won’t.”

Man A: “Of course I’ll have it. Trust me. You’ll not be abandoned, not by me anyway.”

Man B: “Before the cock crows, you would deny me three times.”

Man A was Peter. Man B, Jesus. My bible study on Monday from Matthew 26. The final verses of that chapter has him doing the same thing that he said that he was not going to do.

And then I thought, how many of us promise not to do things but end up doing them anyway? We say that we will be there for others, we will do this or that but somewhere along the way it does not happen.

Like Jesus forgave Peter for what he did, will we be able to do the same if someone does the same to us?

“Either we conform our desires to the truth or we conform the truth to our desires.” Os Guinness 🙂

Parents, what are you creating?

“Parents wonder why the streams are bitter, when they themselves have poisoned the fountain.” John Locke on child-rearing

To the world

Are you giving to the world what you desire from it, and are you happy, satisfied, and content?

“That it will never come again is what makes life so sweet.” Emily Dickinson 🙂
