Bullying Conformity

Under attack

[My photo]

About this photo. When I was out and about one day, I heard this noise up in the air. When I looked up, there was this egret being chased by two birds. It took refuge in a tree, but those birds kept on pestering it. It eventually flew away. And this gave me the idea for this post.

Be yourself some people say . . . and then they go ahead and dictate who that self should be.

Should your actions follow your belief?

Are you what you say, what you do, or what others tell you to do?

Should you drop what you believe in to follow and to please others? To fit into the latest fad?

“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.” Ephesians 4 vs 14

You have the right to believe what you want, and my gosh, so do others.  No right to teased, coerced, twist, not literally, the arms of others. And this goes for everyone, and I mean everyone. 🙂

A Who or a What?

We hear the label or term Christian so often that I guess it carries various meanings to those using it. But when someone is being describe or describing his/her self as one, is it who he/she is or, is it what he/she is?

What source, reference or whatever is it line up against? Is it one set of rules for the Hollywood “Christians”? The political Christians? The color of ones skin Christians? Generational Christians?  Gender Christians? Etc.

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he is.” James 1 vs 22-24

Have a lovely, sunflower day. 🙂
