Lips Are Sealed – Read Between The Lines

“There’s no repentance in the grave.” Isaac Watts

Sometimes

the hardest person to forgive you is . . .

YOU.

“Now you can go and play it like you’re all rock and roll
But guilt does a job on each and every man’s soul
And when your head hits the pillow at the nightfall
You can bet your life that its gonna be a fight ya’ll.”

. . .

“‘Cause we all make mistakes sometimes
And we’ve all stepped across that line
But nothing’s sweeter than the day we find
Forgiveness, forgiveness
And we all stumble and we fall
Bridges burn in the heat of it all
But nothing’s sweeter than the day,
sweeter than the day we call
out for forgiveness.”

Lyrics taken from the song Forgiveness by Tobymac featuring Lecrae.

Have You Robbed Anyone Today?

That person you know you ought to forgive.

That someone who you ought to say sorry to.

That person who gave you a smile and you did not return it back.

That person who wanted to share a piece of good news and you just brushed him/her aside.

That someone who you should have shared a moment of encouragement with.

That someone who you ought to say thank you to.

That someone, that person who you . . .

“He who controls others may be powerful, but he who has mastered himself is mightier still.” Lao Tzu 🙂

But you do not understand

He saw her naked body while she took a bath. He sent for her and they had sex. He was the king, how could she deny him right? She was married and now, pregnant. Her husband, not the father of the baby, was sent for from the battle lines to come home and spend time with his wife. The cover up had begun. But he did not spend time with her; he was a dutiful soldier. Go to plan B.

Put him at the forefront of the battle, abandon him there and let him die. Oh king David you bad man. 2 Samuel chapter 11

And here comes Nathan, the prophet with an analogical story of what took place. David, angry, demanded that that person should pay. Nathan said, “Thou art the man.” He acknowledged and admitted. He asked for forgiveness. He was repentant. He was forgiven, but he still received punishment. 2 Samuel chapter 12

Some seek out forgiveness while others feel, think and believe that they will not be forgiven, not after what they did. But you do not understand. Believe it or not, some people do and will.

Have a moon morning and a starry night. 🙂
