Jesus knew, and Judas was still invited to the Lord’s Supper.

Have you ever seen The Lord of The Rings movie? At first, I didn’t like this movie (I still prefer the book) but I have grown to appreciate it. In the movie are two characters, Aragon and Arwen.
Arwen: Do you remember what I told you?
Aragon: You said you’d bind yourself to me, forsaking the immortal life of your people.
Arwen: And to that I hold. I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone.
She gave up living forever to be with the man she loves. How romantic or foolish? Which brings me to the reason I am writing this, is love about sacrifice?
That is from a book and fantasy; although, some have done it. Jesus did it for all humans. “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. . . .” John 10 vs 17 – 18
What are you willing to give up for love?
My entry on 1o January, 2011. Added the words for love to the title.
Life Matters. Oh yeah. 🙂

Because Jesus loves us, he did not stay dead.
“But Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed; blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” John 20 vs 29
Have a happy summer. 🙂
Love you. Take care. 🙂
“Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He SAVED others; himself he cannot save.” Mark 15 vs 31
That was the point. Jesus did not need rescuing. 🙂
To quote Duckie from the movie Pretty in Pink, “I’m off like a dirty shirt.”
Going to take a Easter Break. Enjoy. Love you all. 🙂
Gosh I hope the balloon does not go up without me. 😉

Man A : “If anything should happen, I’ll never turn away. I have your back.”
Man B: “No, you won’t.”
Man A: “Of course I’ll have it. Trust me. You’ll not be abandoned, not by me anyway.”
Man B: “Before the cock crows, you would deny me three times.”
Man A was Peter. Man B, Jesus. My bible study on Monday from Matthew 26. The final verses of that chapter has him doing the same thing that he said that he was not going to do.
And then I thought, how many of us promise not to do things but end up doing them anyway? We say that we will be there for others, we will do this or that but somewhere along the way it does not happen.
Like Jesus forgave Peter for what he did, will we be able to do the same if someone does the same to us?
“Either we conform our desires to the truth or we conform the truth to our desires.” Os Guinness 🙂

One had a temper. Another a doubter. Two wanted special places. One was a betrayer. And sometimes their faith was nothing to write home about. And yes, scary cats. They abandoned their leader. He knew that was going to take place.
But Jesus still used those twelve disciples.
No matter who you are, you have a purpose.
Have a moon morning and a starry night. 🙂
Have a lovely, sunflower day. 🙂
Somewhere around the world someone is having a birthday. Happy Birthday. 🙂
Have you ever seen a movie where the hero could have been someone not fearful or someone fearful who got enough courage to do something spectacular? He/she prepared his/her self to go to battle to save whatever it was that needed to be saved. And then when approaching the battlefield, the epic music resonated as emotions climaxed. Then with one last look around, he/she charged ahead, ready to die but perhaps hoping to live with victory as the endgame.
I thought about Jesus and what he did. Death was his purpose; it was planned all along; and nothing was going to stop it. Matthew 26. So a Good Friday to all who celebrated. And remember that his death was not the endgame.
Have a lovely, sunflower day. 🙂
